Meet Honey

Hello! Sawa dee Ka! Kamusta?
My name is Honey and am happy that you found a way to connect with me in my home of blogging space. Please allow me to introduce my background, which will lead you to understand how I developed the passion for Essential Oils.

I was born in Cebu, Philippines and left my home country when I was 7 years old. Having been raised in the states, this Filipino American quickly became accustomed to a lifestyle where everything is bigger and better! Especially when it comes to FOOD. I have always been a foodie. I even became a Yelp Elite within months because I loved food so much. I ate anything, everything and wanted to share my experiences with everyone! I relentlessly expressed the succulent taste of each bite as I moaned at the table or in the moment of what was my happy place...

Fast forward to 2011, my husband and I left the US and moved to Thailand, where we lived for 3 years. As we traveled through the kingdom, islands and other borders, my passion for food remained the same. Unbeknownst to me, I was eating the most natural meat, seafood, vegetables and fruit that someone living in the US could NEVER find on a daily basis! I can rant on and on about my travels and show off a bunch of pictures, but this blog space is about the development of my new love and passion for Essential Oils.

While I was in Thailand, I often wondered why I was so hungry all the time. Was it the weather? The thick humidity that shredded off some weight from my big pot belly? Maybe it was the food that I was eating that came in and out of me like an eagle flying over the deep blue sea? Regardless, my digestive system worked very differently than it ever had while I was in Thailand. My new digestive system worked effortlessly and was healthy....

Unfortunately, our dream in Thailand ended and we returned to the States....for now ;-)

And let me tell you, while living in Thailand, we missed REAL Mexican food, In-n-Out Burger and so much more. Within minutes of landing in the red, white and blue, of course my big, hungry appetite for my petite body never changed. We devoured the bigger things in life in the USA that we missed so much...AMERICAN FOOD!

After 2 months of being back in the States, I noticed a significant difference in my digestive system. I gained 27 pounds and it was all in my GUT and STOMACH aka DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, which is the core and root to all of our vital organs.

So, imagine this...27 extra pounds of food stuck inside of your digestive system which is from all kinds of meat including beef, lamb, poultry, pork, farm raised seafood and other foods filled with toxins, pesticides, chemicals and GMO's!!!

What was the difference in my Digestive system in the USA vs Thailand?

Digestive system in the USA, which I thought was normal since age 7:

severe constipation (up to 3-5 days)
bloated belly after meals
developed eczema from the food that I ate
terrible allergies
low immune system

Digestive system in Thailand, which became my new norm:

I was able to digest my food and release at least 2-3 times a day
bloated belly after meals became flat belly after lots of meals featuring a plethora of exotic, indigenous and fresh foods
eczema was very rare
immune system was stronger
respiratory allergies did not occur

So now, I ask myself several questions as I telepathically go back to Thailand.... (dreaming)

Why are the foods in the USA difficult to digest?

What are the processed foods in the USA?

Why is the meat in the USA full of chemicals?

Why is the chicken in the USA full of antibiotics?

What are GMO's?

What are pesticides?

Why are the requirements for USDA Organic certification ridiculous?

Use of approved label claims for “100% organic”, “organic” (at least 95% organic

ingredients), “Made with organic ingredients” (at least 70% organic ingredients), and

proper use of the word “organic” in ingredient list (less than 70% organic

ingredients)

I will tell you this....the FOOD in the USA is terrible! And everyone knows this! So what did I do about it? I woke up and did something about it! I rekindled my practice with yoga 5 or 6 times a week. I quit smoking. I made huge changes to my diet. I gave up all meat. I am drinking high alkaline water with a PH level of 8.5 or above. In addition, I am eating all ORGANIC fruit, vegetables, grains, protein and only wild caught seafood.

The moment when doTERRA Essential Oils came into my life it enhanced my digestive system, improved my immune system, calmed my anxiety, relieved my eczema and cleansed my soul (including the small percentage of chemicals from the USDA Organic food)!
